Exercise Specialist

Vicky Brewis

From a young age Vicki has been involved in multiple sports, particularly racket sports. Throughout school her love of sport prevailed above everything else, as she was on the squash, badminton, athletics and cross-country teams, which led to her choosing to undertake a sport and exercise science degree. During her degree, she chose to look more specifically at obesity management, the biomechanics of strength and injury, and applied principles of sports training. Vicki has been playing county badminton since the age of 10 and was training almost full-time while completing her university degree. This gave her the experience of working with top badminton and strength and conditioning coaches. She was also Club Captain of the university badminton team, a Racket Sports Scholar and won Bronze in the mixed doubles at the BUCS individual national championships. In the past she has helped to coach the Northumberland Badminton Performance Centre and has also coached within schools. She currently represents Yorkshire, competes nationally and is ranked in the top 40 players in the country in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Vicki aims to make sure that your health and fitness goals are achieved in a way that works for you as an individual, using her own personal experiences of training, nutrition, flexibility, rehabilitation of injuries and most of all, making it all enjoyable!
