The B stance hip thrust is a slight twist on the classic hip thrust in that most of the load will now be placed on your back leg, turning this into a predominantly single leg exercise.

Because your front leg is not bent at a 90 degree angle, it’s ability to produce force is diminished, causing your back leg to work harder.

Plus, both feet are still in contact with the floor, so you now have the added benefit of increased stability during the movement.
