It’s been a busy few months at BodyGuards since Christmas and like the rest of us we hope that you are looking forward to summer.

Our aim is to build on the already high reputation of the service that we offer to our clients here at bodyguards and provide private high quality training through our highly qualified and experienced trainers. We can train you at home, in your office or at our newly refurbished private gym which is now equipped with high quality functional equipment that allows us to train everyone, whether you are an elite athlete or just needing help to get back to fitness and an improved lifestyle.

What’s been happening?

TV screen I am sure that all of you have noticed the very large TV screen that has appeared on the wall. We will be showing various sporting and outdoor DVD to help motivate you!!

Why not complement your one to one training with a group session…

The Bodyguards running club will be starting back up to get you prepare for the Blaydon race and the GNR. It is held on Wednesday evenings at 6pm and will be starting in May.

You can also take advantage of the circuit class on Tuesday evenings at 8pm. This is another great way to complement your personal training, providing a fun, safe and effective means of increasing your cardio vascular fitness, core stability, flexibility and general fitness.

Tataki

Recipe of the month A traditional Japanese dish, tataki consists of fish that has been seared in hot oil for a matter of seconds. Here the tuna is served with Japanese soy sauce, wasabi (Japanese Horseradish), mustard and ginger.

Ingredients

200g/7oz trimmed tuna loin 4 tbsp groundnut oil salt and freshly cracked black pepper To Serve

Japanese soy sauce, for dipping wasabi, for dipping English mustard, to accompany pickled ginger, to accompany Method

Slice the tuna into two pieces. Heat a griddle pan until smoking hot. Brush the tuna with the groundnut oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Sear for 15-20 seconds on all sides, plunge into ice cold water to stop the cooking process and immediately pat dry.. Lee Woodsward Lee was Born in Birmingham but moved to the UK at the age of 19 and has been personal training ever since.He has just got his first mountain bike and can almost ride without the training wheels. He is also a National standard line dancer.
